Yes, this redstone practically came to me in a dream.
I was still partly awake, I think. It's the first time a redstone idea in my head worked, so don't expect more of it haha.
This is, without question, the hardest elevator to build in my whole series, so be warned and pay close attention.
There's several ways a 5x5 doesn't work.
You could always clone the base and make it more complicated, but that comes with a host of problems. I didn't want to use another tier like we will for the bigger ones.
