In 2017, as Lilah played on the monkey bars she felt her heart jump out of her chest. Within 24 hours, a Mount Sinai cardiologist diagnosed her with Superventricular Tachycardia, a fast rhythm from the upper chamber of the heart and a large hole between the upper chambers of the heart. Within weeks, Barry Love, MD, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, was able to perform the surgeries needed to allow Lilah to resume her active lifestyle.
