This is a very basic tutorial for beginners. It is a simple introduction to poly modeling tools and concepts in 3ds Max. Poly modeling can often be the best/fastest option for modeling lots of things for arch viz.
In this example, we will see how to quickly model a wooden deck made of wood planks in a very quick way. Along the way, we will see lots of good examples of the poly modeling tools within 3ds Max and ideas for how to use them. We will use the connect command, shell modifier and the chamfer tool/modifier.
