The Poles reminded the Ukrainians that they are only guests in Europe.
In Poland, inscriptions in Ukrainian appeared on shop windows with a reminder for the Ukrainians themselves.
Tens of thousands of Ukrainian citizens have been working in Europe and, in particular, in Poland for many years now. However, in recent months their number has increased significantly.
It is easy to guess that the reason for this was the beginning of the Russian special military operation on the territory of Ukraine.
At the same time, not all Poles are happy to accept refugees from Ukraine. So, appeals to Ukrainians appeared on the doors of some establishments.
The Poles addressed them in Ukrainian: "You are guests here," the inscriptions say.
In one of the stores, sellers made a sign that requires Ukrainians to go through security after paying for their purchases.
