I had sooooo much fun making this video....lolol. Out of all the questions I get, NO ONE has EVER even asked me this one. That is how misconstrued the word 'Producer' has gotten.
Doesn't it seem like everyone is a producer now-a-days?? Well, I'm sorry to break it to you, but if you call yourself a producer.... Chances are, you're not even close... shrug I will start with the definition of a producer...
(Oxford) : a person responsible for the financial and managerial aspects of making of a movie or broadcast or for staging a play, opera, etc. "a film producer"
(Webster) : a person who supervises or finances a work (such as a staged or recorded performance) for exhibition or dissemination to the public
In this video I explain the role of a Producer. This goes for any form of entertainment production, such as music, film, tv, stage, etc... I will also explain why and exactly how everyone is so confused. I'm sure this one will piss off some people... but the truth can hurt sometimes. Now, all of you will know the correct terminology, and you can proudly say with pride that you are a producer (if you are) ... ENJOY!
