I created a simple 2D vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator and animated it to create a 2.5D animated head rotation. I animated this video in Adobe After Effects. This video breaks down my process to achieve this kind of animation; it shows the animation layers I created to achieve a 2.5D head rotation and the rig movement.
