Summary

Open Web Browser
Go to https://github.com/posit-dev/positron or go directly to: https://github.com/posit-dev/positron...
Select "Releases" on the right-hand side of the GitHub repository
Select the first item in the release list to obtain the latest release.
Find and click on the release asset of: "Positron-[some value].exe"
This works on only Windows x64 (Intel/AMD) processors.

(Note: There is an open issue for ARM Support here: https://github.com/posit-dev/positron...)

Once done downloading, open the installer by clicking on the .exe file.

You will be prompted by the User Account Control (UAC) to allow the installer to start. Say yes.
This should open an installer window.

In the installer window, agree to the license and press next.
Allow for the default installation path and shortcut naming.
Click on add Positron shortcut to the desktop if you like desktop shortcuts.
Review install options and, then, press next.
Allow for about 80 seconds or so for the installer to complete the process.
Press "finish" to launch Positron.

Positron will run through a startup procedure that requires some time to search for installation of Python and R.
In our case, they didn't opt to start an interpreter, so we went to the "Start Interpreter" in the upper right and launched R 4.4.1.
