To use basic AT commands with Bluetooth modules (such as HC-05 and HC-06), you'll need to connect the module to a microcontroller or computer, enter AT command mode, and send the commands via a serial interface. Here's a step-by-step guide.
1. Connect the Bluetooth Module to a Microcontroller (e.g., Arduino):
HC-05:
VCC to 5V
GND to GND
TXD to RXD (Arduino pin 10, for example)
RXD to TXD (Arduino pin 11, for example)
Key/EN to 3.3V (for AT mode)
2. Most useful AT commands are
AT : Ceck the connection
AT+NAME : See default name.
AT+ADDR : see default address
AT+VERSION : See version
AT+UART : See baudrate.
AT+ROLE: See role of bt module(1=master/0=slave)
AT+RESET : Reset and exit AT mode
AT+ORGL : Restore factory settings
AT+PSWD: see default password.
3. Notes
Command Format: Ensure AT commands are in uppercase and typically without line endings unless specified.
Serial Monitor Setup: Ensure the correct baud rate and line ending settings are configured in the Serial Monitor.
Entering AT Mode: The method to enter AT mode may vary slightly depending on the module and firmware version.
