YouTube Is Dying
So in this video, I vent my frustration at YouTube and no one is safe. This includes YouTubers such as Kavos, Emma Chamberlain, Logan Paul, and KSI. Honestly, all of these people excluding Emma Chamberlain to some degree have something to answer for and the current state of YouTube.
So why am I so mad at YouTube? Honestly, it's due to the amount of garbage that has been recommended to me on a daily basis. And it's all the same stuff! Stuff I don't even care about and have never searched and it's infuriating. The new YouTube algorithm seems to just copy and pasting similar popular content to everyone, regardless of their personal tastes and needs. Due to this, I have decided to rant about YouTube and why I think it's losing its charm and more importantly it's more mature audiences.
There is no covering the fact that the demographic of YouTube is getting younger, and no I don't think it's due to children taking over the internet. In fact, I think it can be summed up to the more mature audiences leaving the platform due to how childish and cringy the platform has become as a whole.
And can I really blame YouTube for this? Not really, as an individual investment, I believe YouTube has never made a profit before. Mad I know, but when anyone can upload onto their servers at any time, well... That ain't cheap. So I can't really blame them forcing content down your throat that they know gets clicks and is advertisement friendly. However, there are limits to this surely?
