These are the 4 primary triad types, Major, Minor, Diminished and Augmented. From these core shapes you'll be equipped to build any chord you need to once you have it's architecture.
Isn't it fascinating how the Augmented shape is parallel? Every time I come across an Augmented chord it makes me smile a little.
The Diminished chord is parallel too...but not as a triad. Can you figure it out?
