Sony Xperia Pro: 4K Cinema Pro Camera Test!
The Sony Xperia Pro is aimed at creative professionals who regularly shoot video or photos with a dedicated camera. The $2,500 Xperia Pro can be used as a camera monitor, or to livestream 4K video over 5G to sites like YouTube. But it is essentially a repackaged Sony Xperia 1 II, right down to the same processor and cameras.
We used the built-in Cinema Pro app to record 4K footage in 10-bit color. All footage comes out of the app in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio. Yeah, that is wide. Files were recorded in the Venice CS look with a Rec. 2020 HLG wide gamut color space. All footage was color-graded and converted to standard definition. The Cinema Pro app offers manual control over ISO, shutter angle and focus. Take a look at some of the footage we captured.
