Here is the first sound of NASA's Ingenuity Mars Helicopter flying on Mars recorded by the Perseverance rover during its fourth flight.
On April 30, 2021, during Ingenuity’s fourth flight on Mars, NASA’s Perseverance rover made history as the first spacecraft to record sounds from another spacecraft on another planet.
The sound was recorded by, a microphone included with the SuperCam instrument aboard Perseverance. The microphone captured the humming sound of the blades and the din of wind in mono as the helicopter’s blades were spinning at 2,537 rpm
At the time of recording, the rover was 262 feet (80 meters) away. In the video, you can hear the change of sound as the helicopter leaves the area and then returns. That is called the Doppler effect).
Perseverance will capture more audio of the helicopter in future flights
