Sometimes I teach really technical, step-by-step stuff. In this case, though, there's no reason to work harder than necessary. This is a situation where it's nice to lean on YOUR STACK.
After all, the stack is the stack for a reason!
So, this video is a little bit of a flex because it shows how to accomplish something relatively technical with just some mouse clicks, thanks to tools like Automatic.css, Frames, Bricks, and WS Form.
In fact, the relationship these tools have with each other is chef's kiss, if I do say so myself.
Here's what it includes:
- Create a testimonials CPT
- Create a testimonials archive template
- Create custom fields for the testimonial
- Create a sample testimonial
- Replace the static content with dynamic data and loop the testimonial card
- Add support for dynamic star ratings
- Add a front-end testimonial submission form so users can add new testimonials (with or without moderation).
