I spent a wipe building my own personal bridge to the cargo ship in Rust. The cargo ship is an event that happens every few hours on a server and when it spawns it circles the map ready to be boarded. Usually there are only two ways to get to the ship, and that is by driving a boat or flying there in a helicopter, but I decided I wanted to run there and built my own bridge in order to be able to get the high tier loot that it provides. After farming a lot of wood with my chainsaw, I put on a diving kit and began building. Once I had it fully built, I tested it out but unfortunately the ship broke too much of the bridge and I wasn’t able to make it to the ladder so I had to improvise. Instead, I built a crows nest at the end of the bridge that meant when the cargo ship broke my building, I would fall straight onto the deck. So now all I had to do was wait for the ship, BUT when it arrived, there were already people on board so now I had them to worry about as well as making the jump.
The guys who were on board got scared by me and took the escape boat to flee the ship, meaning I was left with the 3 crates of high tier loot to myself. It was definitely worth it, and that’s why…
