Join Joshua Casper in welcoming Ben and Daniel from Aberrant DSP for round two where we take a deep dive into their new reverb plugin "Lair"!
Decoded from a diskette of unknown origin, Lair is a transporter through when and where, retooled as a reverberation effect. Combining three bespoke reverberator devices with an expansive collection of intricate parameters and chaotic modifiers, Lair is your door to familiar, abominable, and alien worlds.
On stream they will be demonstrating the full extent of Lair's otherworldly devices and echoes, going knob by knob across a variety of sounds. We'll also be going in depth with each device's unique modifier options and showing off some of our favorite hidden sounds and unique tricks that Lair has up its sleeve.
Aberrant DSP was founded in 2019 with the release of our first plugin SketchCassette. SketchCassette was Ben and Daniel's senior design project at the University of Rochester. They are both now located in Brooklyn, New York.
Ben's role at Aberrant includes the DSP (audio processing) design and coding, as well as business admin tasks. Daniel designs and implements the GUIs and makes marketing and social media materials. Broad-strokes plugin design and concept are done collaboratively.
