I've seen a lot of people call Napoleon II an idiotic, incompetent, and failed emperor. They say this because he lost a few wars, yet they never seem to mention his great reforms of France. He built the Paris we know today, and greatly improved the economy. The people enjoyed his rule but the SECOND he lost the Franco-Prussian war, they turned on him. They instantly overthrew him after 1 failed war in spite of all the things achieved in his 19 year long rule. Now, Napoleon III isn't perfect. He did make many bad choices and was over ambitious at times. However, Don't all rulers make mistakes? Why do we hyper focus on Napoleon III?
