Abstract: Monogamy of entanglement is considered a fundamental property in the quantum regime. Violation of monogamy leads to the violation of no cloning theorem. However, if we shift our focus from the typical distinguishable particles to the indistinguishable ones, some counter-intuitive results emerge. They obey monogamy at the particle level, but can violate the same at the degree-of-freedom (DoF) level. For distinguishable particles, there is no essential difference between a particle and its DoF, from the point of view of the Hilbert space structure. On the other hand, as our results indicate, DoFs of indistinguishable particles behave differently from particles and more investigations are needed to unveil their inner nature.
