AFF Level 8 - Cleared for Solos!
My last AFF student jump, and the last jump with an AFF instructor! Now that I've completed this jump, I've graduated being a solo jump student. That means I've proven that I'm capable and knowledgeable enough jump out of a plane, unsupervised, and not to injure/kill myself or others.
The next step is to get my A-license! Once I get that, I'll be cleared to jump and fall with other people. I'll also be able to downsize my canopy to a sport canopy. Until then, I have to obtain 25 solo jumps with a student canopy, complete a canopy packing course, and perform a hop and pop (an exit at 5,000' feet where you immediately get stable and pull your chute!
