The Mercenaries is a free DLC launching for the Resident Evil 4 Remake on April 7, 2023. It contains 4 characters (Leon, Luis, Krasuer, and Hunk) and 3 levels (Village, Castle, and Island). Acquiring an S Rank on all 3 levels will unlock the Handcannon which can then be used on playthroughs to make the game easier.
