Nicole Kidman, 57, recently opened up about her experience filming the highly anticipated erotic drama Babygirl. The actress revealed that she had to take a break during shooting because the scenes became emotionally overwhelming.
Starring alongside Harris Dickinson (28) and Antonio Banderas (64), Kidman plays Romy, a powerful CEO who enters a dangerous affair with a young intern. In a candid interview, Kidman described the process as a mix of "sharing and trust," but also admitted that the intensity of the intimate scenes led to moments of frustration. "There were times when I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm anymore,’" she said, highlighting the emotional strain such roles can place on an actor.
Directed by Halina Reijn, Babygirl is inspired by classic erotic thrillers like Basic Instinct and is set to premiere on Christmas Day in the U.S. and January 10 in the U.K. Kidman was drawn to the project because it allowed her to explore new themes and push her artistic boundaries.
