IAP weekly specialised seminars / 19 January 2024
Francesca Calore (Laboratoire d'Annecy-Le-Vieux de Physique Théorique, Annecy-Le-Vieux, France)
Dark matter represents 85% of the matter budget of the current universe. Evidence for dark matter at multiple scales is undoubtedly provided by astrophysical and cosmological observations. However its nature still remains a mystery. A large effort, both theoretical and experimental, is on-going to tackle the dark matter nature, exploiting and developing cutting-edge techniques. In this talk, I will present where do we stand in the “indirect” search for dark matter with multiple approaches. I will cover the diversified aspects of dark matter theory and detection focusing on astroparticle observables. I will finally present what are the future prospects for dark matter detection and how we could obtain more insights onto its nature.
