Recently, we got some big updates on the Natlan patches, including the playable version of Mavuika being in version 5.1 and the release dates of Capitano and Xbalanque. in this video, we will talk about these updates. Please note that the version 5.1 beta has barely started, so the information we have is still in development and may change. anyways.
Starting with Mavuika. According to Mero, a trusted source. In version 5.1 we’ll have the opportunity to play as Mavuika during the Archon Quest. While it’s confirmed that we’ll see her perspective in the story, it’s still unclear whether we’ll actually get to use her skills or if the gameplay will be more focused on her point of view and story-driven moments. i know a lot of players are curious to know if her playstyle will be part of the experience, as it could make the quest more interesting. Either way, it’s going to be cool to see how she fits into the story.
The upcoming playability of Mavuika in 5.1 follow leaks that have already given players a glimpse of what to expect from Version 5.1. Rumor has it that the Archon Quest in 5.1 will heavily feature Citlali and Ororon alongside Mavuika, with each character reportedly having a significant number of voice lines in the update. The patch is also expected to introduce a new main event in Sumeru, with speculation that players will return for the Sabzeruz Festival, which was previously featured in Sumeru's Archon Quest.
Capitano is one of the Fatui Harbingers and is considered the strongest of them all, holding the top rank. A leak from White on Reddit suggests that Capitano isn’t originally from Teyvat and actually comes from another planet. If that’s true, it makes him even more important to the overall story, especially with his potential connection to the Traveler, who also isn’t a native of Teyvat. So far, most of the Fatui Harbingers we’ve met in the game, like Childe, Wanderer, and Arlecchino, have become playable characters. Capitano is also expected to be playable, but recent leaks indicate that he won’t be available during the Natlan arc. Since he’s known as the strongest Fatui Harbinger, it’s likely that he won’t become playable anytime soon, as the game hasn’t reached its final chapters yet.
We’ve got new leaks about Xbalanque. According to a recent leak, we’ll be seeing Xbalanque in the Archon Quest of Version 5.1. Xbalanque isn’t the Pyro Sovereign, but there are theories that he might have been a dragon who betrayed the Pyro Sovereign and aligned with Celestia, or perhaps took the role of Pyro Archon despite Celestia’s approval. However, Xbalanque is the first Pyro Archon and is likely still considered the 'true' Pyro Archon. Xbalanque started as an ordinary mortal with no special powers. After becoming the Pyro Archon, he established new systems and rules in Natlan that would allow future mortals to ascend to Pyro Archonhood.
The leakers also mentioned that Xbalanque won’t be a playable character during the Natlan patches. We don’t even know if he’ll ever be playable. The same goes for Columbina; we haven’t received any information about her yet. Typically, Mihoyo releases a new Fatui Harbinger with each region, but we don’t have any details on which Fatui Harbinger will be introduced during the Natlan patches. It’s a bit unusual because we already knew Arlecchino would be playable at the start of the Fontaine arc, but that's not the case for Natlan.
