3D Printers can put off a nasty plastic smell when printing, but now I have an easy to use Carbon and HEPA filter to reduce those smells.

I changed the original design to cover the hole I have in the back of the printer. This helps enclose the print chamber, and I can still easily remove the tophat without needing to disconnect the fan wires.
I configured the fan settings in Klipper to run the fan at 30% power while printing, and then run at 100% after the print completes for two minutes. This has greatly decreased the smell and fumes coming off of even ABS prints.
I love how easy this design was to install and now it runs without my intervention. I would recommend an air filter like this or another design for anyone running a 3D printer.
