Did you ever call a colleague directly without having to book a meeting? Or a business contact?
Of course, you did. It is in our nature to call people directly when we want to speak to them.
Until now, 1:1 calling between a Teams Rooms and a SIP or H.323-based system has not been possible. But, with Pexip CVI-based 1:1 calling, users can do just that. With the Teams Rooms app update to 4.17, Teams Rooms Pro customers will be able to make one-to-one calls from their Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows to SIP/H323 video endpoints, enabling ad-hoc video calls with audio, video, and content sharing.
Features include:
Call directly from a Teams Room to a SIP/H323 device
Call directly from a SIP/H323 device to a Teams Room
Share content both ways using the in-room HDMI capabilities
Enjoy both video and content across both screens for two-screen systems
Use your Teams Room to participate in SIP-enabled meetings such as Webex, Goto, Zoom, or Pexip.
1:1 direct calling is a Pexip-unique feature and provides users of our class-leading CVI implementation with the best, and most Teams-like experiences.
