How to set-up and external mic on a DSLR

Just a quick video answering comment that asked how to set-up an external mic on a DSLR. I'm using a Canon but most brands with manual audio settings should be the same (ish). The most important thing is to turn off and attenuation and set the gain to manual. If you don't, when your silent the camera will raise the gain to find sound and introduce noise.
