The Famous Grouse is one of many 'supermarket' blends available literally everywhere. Usually, it's very cheap, hovering around £15 in the UK. This particular blend is owned by the Edrington group so you can expect the likes of Macallan and Highland Park to be in the mix.
Personally, I'm not a fan, but it's perfectly serviceable in a pinch and it's perfect for the untrained house guests who want a whisky and coke
