The third part of the Trip to America story arc is another Merrie Melodies cartoon called The Long Flight. It is done in the style of a WB cartoon short from the 1940s and features the Simpsons and their friends' usual shenanigans during a very long flight to Los Angeles.
This time, the opening logos have gone retro - with the 1937 Warner Bros. Pictures logo and a logo for Walt Disney Productions featuring the Walt Disney wordmark in the sketchier version of the signature corporate font from the Walt Disney Animation Studios logo. We can also hear the 1937 WB fanfare by Max Steiner in its original pitch.
