Tests for supraspinatus impingement.
The test is positive if pain is experienced over the attachment of the supraspinatus muscle and the greater tuberosity.
A positive test indicate a lesion with the above structures. In some cases it could also indicate lesion with the coracoclavicular ligament or the coracoid process anteriorly. Acromioclavicular lesions and problems with the subacromial space may also produce a positive result.
