We spent November 26, 2020 recuperating from Thanksgiving by going for a hike on Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake. It was a short hike of 4 miles roundtrip and I was able to try out some new gear I've acquired. I got some pretty cool photographs for just messing around and not even using my tripod! Thanks for watching!

Opening Music by a great Irish band Skippers Alley. I saw them perform at the Celtic Festival in Evanston Wyoming a few years ago and really loved their sound! Check out their music https://www.skippersalley.ie/

The jackets we wore are from Outdoor Vitals and are filled with synthetic down called Lofttek. I really like these jackets. Even through they are very lightweight they are very warm and packable.

Backpack I carried is the Peak Design 35-45 Liter Travel backpack with the medium camera cube, tech pouch, capture clip system and the slide and slide light camera straps. Check out their amazing products at https://www.peakdesign.com/
I also used some brand new carbon fiber trekking poles sold under the AceCamp brand. This poles only weigh 4.5 oz each and were incredible! I think I'll keep them! Check out these poles here: https://www.amazon.com/AceCamp-Lighte... Or if you are in the Salt Lake Valley check out their store Mountain Republic at 25 East Fort Union Blvd. Midvale, Utah
Camera Gear used on this shoot: Nikon D850, Nikkor 28-70 f2.8 lens, Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 lens and a Nikkor 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S. The Nikon 28-300 isn't my favorite lens by a longshot but I carried its DX equivalent all over the UK and like it so I eventually had to get the FX version. It really is a great lens for the focal length range though it isn't extremely sharp. Even with that said the coyote photograph I got was at 300mm hand held and I cropped in at least 25% and I can still blow that image up to 48x72 inches and the coyote is nice and sharp.
Video shot with my new Osmo DJI Pocket 2 and wireless microphone so I finally have a good video system I like! Check out the DJI Pocket 2 here: https://store.dji.com/product/pocket-...
