Here Are The Steps to Change Default Terminal Directory in Visual Studio Code or Change Path in VS Code Terminal

Method 1

1. As You Can See, This is the Path I Want to Change
2. Click the 'Kill Terminal' Button. If There are Multiple Terminals Open, You Will See a List of Terminals & a 'Kill Terminal' Button Beside Each Terminal.
3. First, Minimize Visual Studio Code
4. Click "File Explorer" to Go to the Path You Want to Set in Visual Studio Code.
5. Go to the Path You Want to Set in Visual Studio Code. (My Path is in C:\my-app)
6. Click on the Blank Space on Address Bar Once You are in the Path You Want to Set in VSCode.
7. Now Copy The Path
8. or Right-Click on Address Bar
9. Click "Copy Addres as Text". You Can Also Copy The Path This Way
10. Close File Explorer Once The Path is Copied
11. Go Back to The Visual Studio Code
12. Click File Tab
13. Click Preferences
14. Click Settings
15. Type "terminal.integrated.cwd" (You Can Also Copy & Paste it From Description)
16. You Need to Change the Path Here. If There is Another Path, Delete it First.
17. Paste the Previously Copied Path Here or the Path You Want to Set in Visual Studio Code
18. Click on Any Blank Space Here
19. Now Close Settings Tab
20. Click Terminal
21. Click "New Terminal"
22. As You Can See, The Path Has Changed.
23. Done!


Method 2

1. As You Can See, This is the Path I Want to Change
2. First, Minimize Visual Studio Code
3. Click File Explorer to Go to the Path You Want to Set in Visual Studio Code.
4. Go to the Path You Want to Set in Visual Studio Code. (My Path is in C:\my-app)
5. Click on the Blank Space on Address Bar Once You are in the Path You Want to Set in VSCode.
6. Now Copy The Path
7. or Right-Click on Address Bar
8. Click "Copy Addres as Text". You Can Also Copy The Path This Way
9. Close File Explorer Once The Path is Copied
10. Go Back to The Visual Studio Code
11. Type cd, Then Space, & Then Paste the Path You Just Copied or the Path You Want to Set & Then Hit Enter on Your Keyboard
12. Type clear & Hit Enter on Your Keyboard
13. As You Can See, The Path Has Changed.
14. Done!
