How to Factory Reset your iMac or Macbook | Quick & Easy Steps in 2020
This is going to be a quick video on how to erase and factory reset your apple iMac / Mac Mini / Macbook Air or Macbook pro. Doesn't really what Mac computer you are using, the process should be the same across the entire Apple Desktop and Laptop product line.
Step 1. Turn off your Mac. Wait until your computer is completely shut down.
Step 2. Hold [ Command + R ]
Step 3. Power on your Mac
Step 4. Continue to hold [ Command + R ] until Mac OS Disk Utilities Pops up.
Step 5. Click on Disk Utility option.
Step 6. Choose Macintosh HD. Then click Erase.
Step 7. Make sure Format is: APFS or Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Step 8. Select the correct Format then click Erase.
Step 9. Close Disk Utility and select [ Reinstall Mac OS ]
Step 10. You will be greeted with the Setup Assistant 🎉
