Step by step tutorial for connecting the ESP8266-powered open source WiFi development board ANAVI Thermometer to the popular open source home automation platform OpenHAB using the machine-to-machine communication protocol MQTT. The temperature and humidity are retrieved by DHT22. OpenHAB 2.x and the MQTT broker Mosquitto have been installed on Raspberry Pi Zero W. The tutorial is using Paper UI of OpenHAB.
