Doctor Alleges Discrepancies in Handling of RG Kar Medical College Rape-Murder Case
Dr. Tapas Pramanik, on duty at RG Kar Medical College's Emergency Department during the night of the alleged rape-murder on August 9, has raised concerns over how the case was handled by hospital authorities. He stated that he was only informed of the incident hours later, adding, "There is no explanation for the delay of 2-3 hours. What was done during that time?" Dr. Pramanik also questioned the presence of a principal's personal assistant at the crime scene and the lack of immediate action following the death, saying, "How is it that there were no sounds when such a heinous crime happened? How come no one came to know?"
