Roundup can solve all your weed problems and there are some simple rules which will ensure you get the best results. Here are some hints and tips to guarantee success.
When spraying choose a rain free day with little wind. Wind could cause spray to drift on to plants or lawns. If it rains within 6 hours you may need to retreat.
Children and pets may play once the treated areas have dried. As with all garden chemicals it's good practice to wear appropriate clothing, gloves and footwear as a precaution when preparing and applying.
Using a sprayer is more accurate and economical, however you can use a watering can if you prefer.
Apply Roundup to any unwanted plants wetting the leaves as much as possible but avoiding run off. Don't worry, if you have accidentally sprayed your favourite plant. Either wash the Roundup off immediately with lots of water or simply cut off the affected leaves.
If you do have some diluted spray left it can be disposed of by pouring on to wasteland or uncultivated ground. Roundup is deactivated in contact with the ground and breaks down to harmless materials in 30 days.
Store Roundup out of reach of children in a dry, frost free environment.Disposal of your empty Roundup Concentrate bottle is easy. Simply add some water to the bottle, agitate and pour into your sprayer or watering can and use as normal. Then dispose of the empty container in normal household waste.
Don't be tempted to dig the treated area or pull up weeds for 2 days. This allows Roundup to work its way all around the plant right down to the roots.
