More than three years after they were closed over water bacteria fears, two cancer wards have reopened at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. Young patients, staff and equipment were all transferred back earlier today following an extensive renovation.
Within the unit, a new national radiotherapy service has also been established, providing specialist treatment previously only available in England.
