A side by side comparison using Render Boss with multiple threads vs regular After Effects, or Media Encoder.
I also included a render with my older computers helping render some frames. The final output was 2 Quicktime files.
Render Boss grabs all the frames at the end and makes the Quicktime files. Even with that extra step, it's much faster than the normal After Effects render, and you can send it to the background.
