New 2025 Mercedes Maybach SL Mythos Speedster! Highly Exclusive Collectible Cars
Mercedes first announced plans for an ultra-luxury Mythos model in May 2022, but has been quiet since then. In its 2023 financial results document, the three-pointed star brand reused the same teaser image to announce the first model will be launched in 2025.
First up is a speedster that resembles the SL-class from the nacelles behind the seats. The next-generation roadster will be sold as an AMG, but a luxury Maybach version is also in the works. The Maybach-branded SL will be the first to go on sale. Some may remember Mercedes chief designer Gordon Wagener teasing a red Mercedes-Maybach SL Concept in mid-2022 with multiple double M logos etched into a contrasting black hood bisected by a central vertical fin.
