This animation describes what happened to the elephants in the Okavango-delta in Botswana in the summer of 2020. Hundreds of dead elephants were found and many different reasons were suggested. It was, however, found, that it was cyanobacteria (blue-green-algae) that had killed the elephants, due to large blooms in their drinking ponds.
