How to get the 2 new FREE Gear Sets in The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update
Instructions on how to obtain the two new Korean and Chinese Inspired Armor Sets and Swords, available in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt with the Next-Gen Update.
To obtain the two new free gear sets, part of the Next-Gen Update to The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, you have to sign in to My Rewards section from the game's main menu or by visiting https://www.thewitcher.com/en/my-rewards page. There you will find instructions on how to claim your free stuff for each platform.
After this first step is completed, log in to your game and open the letter from Yennefer you would have received automatically.
Now go to the Royal Palace in Vizima. From the sign post, turn left and go to the room on the west side.
As you enter the second adjacent room, turn to your left. This is the chest where you will find the 12 new gear pieces and another letter.
This is another letter from Yennefer, in which she gives you a bit of a backstory about the two gear sets.
The Flowers Armor and Weapons Set requires only level 7 to wear while the White Tiger ot the West Armor set and the two Katanas require level 11. This is early to mid-game.
The two new sets are inspired by the newly released Simplified Chinese and Korean languages with the next-gen update of the game. They are completely free. The downside is that they are not witcher sets and cannot be upgraded, but are actually perfect to fill in a gap in your gearing process between the starter gear and the time you can begin obtaining the diagrams for the Witcher Sets!
