There are Three Platform in Oracle Database 21c.
1. Oracle Enterprise Edition (EE) - Oracle EE contains most of the robust features required by large Oracle shops. Oracle Database Enterprise Edition (EE) is the most comprehensive edition of Oracle Database, it providing a full set of features and capabilities for enterprise-level applications.
2. Oracle Standard Edition (SE) - Oracle SE contains the basic database management functions for small and medium-sized shops. SE is licensed based on the number of processors or sockets used by the database on each server, and it does not include all of the advanced features of Enterprise Edition.
3. Oracle Express Edition (XE) - Oracle Express contain some DBA (database administrator) features. Manage multiple Oracle Databases in one place with Oracle Multitenant pluggable databases. It supports up to 12 GB of user data, one CPU, and 2 GB of RAM. It is intended for developers, students, and educational purposes, and it is not licensed for production use.
In summary, Oracle Database Express Edition is a free, entry-level version of the database that is limited in functionality and scalability. Standard Edition provides more features and better performance than XE but is limited to four sockets or two server nodes. Enterprise Edition is the most comprehensive edition of the database, providing a full set of features and capabilities for enterprise-level applications.
