ASRock Z690 PRO RS - Review - is it WORTH considering?
In this episode, i am going to review the ASRock Z690 PRO RS motherboard, which is lower-mid proposition in their lineup for alder lake CPUs. The tested model was priced at around 220 dollars. The motherboard offers decent equipment on pcb like 3 M.2 sockets, usb and rgb headers or enough power delivery even for i9 12900K without heavy overclock. The manufacturer equipped the board with quite modest vrm heatsinks, which have decent dissapation surface, however they could be bigger.
On the other hand, the rear I/O is really lacking in USB ports and no USB Type-C as well. What is more, I was unable to overclock the memory above 4000MHz which connects with the Gear 2 mode. Seems to me, it is BIOS bug which could be easily fixed with the update. Last but not least, the price of the board should be lower, as different boards cost less or similar with better equipment.

OCed - Overclocked:
CPU ➔ 5.1 - P-Cores / 4.0 E-Cores / Ring - 4.2GHz
VCore - 1.32v - LLC 3 level ~ 1.25v
GPU ➔ +120MHz on the Core & +2000MHz on the memory
RAM ➔ 3800MHz CL14-14-14-34 Gear1
