Rendering audio from external instrument in Cubase 12 Pro
I've become accustomed to capturing audio from VST instruments by using the "Render in Place" option in Cubase 12 Pro, thus freeing my CPU from needing to generate audio in realtime. This also makes it possible to share sessions with others that don't have the same VST instrument plugins.
This tutorial shows you how to configure Cubase to route the audio into an Output channel so that you can capture each separate instrument in a separate audio channel. I demonstrate this using an Alesis QSR sound module I recently purchased.
