What is unique about this tank is that it is the first high-explosive premium TT of tier 8 in World of Tanks with a reloading mechanism. The recharging mechanism is classic, like the Italian ST.

The lower part of the turret is located at a right angle and has a nominal armor of 200 mm, so in case of a successful hit it will penetrate in this place.
If the declination angle of -10 ° is very good, then the gun rises by only +12 °, which sometimes will not be enough if the enemy is located at a higher position. I'm glad that the developers abandoned the idea of introducing a tank with a turret of incomplete rotation, so the gameplay will still be more enjoyable.
Although the maximum speed is low (30 km/h), due to the good specific power of 18.44 hp/t, Caliban has quite acceptable dynamics. Maneuverability is mediocre, which, if the turret does not rotate completely, can become a critical factor if a more nimble enemy decides to spin. The viewing radius is small, so you won’t be able to overclock it to the maximum (unless you install optics).
The tank has good armor for its level and excellent air-damage ratings. But the mixing time and spread are simply disgusting. Mobility also leaves much to be desired.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Caliban
Considering all of the above, the tank has a number of strengths and weaknesses, which in our case simply cannot be ignored.
