Great Joy 50mm 1.8x anamorphic test shoot
I was pretty quick to back this lens on indy gogo and was thrilled to receive it way earlier than I had expected. Abbie and I had a free afternoon so we went up to a local sunset overlook of Birmingham and hung out/shot for fun a bit.
I love the lens so far, it has a very sharp but natural look to it, but it is pretty difficult to get the thing to flare. I've used the SLR magic 2x anamorphics as well as the atlas Orion 2x anamorphics and both of those sets flare considerable more than this lens.
This is a full frame lens and I do have an R5, but honestly I just like the image and codec out of the 6k pro so much more. In my full review I will shot a lot more full frame.
We're about to go on a cross country road trip where I'll shoot on this lens the entire time. Full review after that.
