In AutoCAD, a polyline is a connected sequence of lines and/or arcs that can be a single object. It is similar to a line or a series of lines, but it can have width and can be edited as a single object.
You can create a polyline by using the "PLINE" command. After typing "PLINE" in the command line and press enter, you will be prompted to specify the start point of the polyline. Then, you can specify additional points to create the polyline. You can also use the "Arc" or "Curve" options to include arcs in the polyline.
Once you have created a polyline, you can edit it using commands such as "PEDIT" to change its shape or properties, such as width. You can also use the "Divide" command to divide a polyline into segments, and the "Fillet" command to round corners of polyline.
Additionally, Polylines have the ability to have width and can be used to create 3D Polylines, which are useful in creating 3D models.
