How to use a Vernier Caliper!
To use a Vernier Caliper:
Begin by zeroing the caliper; ensure the 0 marks on the main and Vernier scales align.
For external dimensions, place the object between the jaws and slide the caliper until the object is snug.
For internal dimensions, use the smaller jaws at the top of the caliper.
To measure depth, extend the depth gauge from the end of the caliper.
Read the measurement from the main scale and add the precise increment from the Vernier scale.
Uses of a Vernier Caliper:
Measure the internal and external diameters of objects with high precision.
Determine the depth of holes or the step height in an object.
Useful in various fields such as mechanical engineering, metalworking, and scientific research for its precision.
In the medical field, it's used to measure the dimensions of medical instruments with utmost accuracy.
