So, it seems that most or all of the Masterpiece Ironhide figures have improperly assembled shoulders. The issue is hardly noticeable and wasn't discovered until someone looked at an MP Ironhide and an MP Ratchet side-by-side, seeing Ratchet with correctly assembled shoulders. Ratchet's shoulders covered the teeth in his shoulder assembly, while Ironhide's shoulders exposed the teeth. The fix is fairly simple and kind of fun, if you enjoy the mechanics behind these figures.
I also recommend watching the Paik4Life video about this fix. Paik4Life removed the shoulder screws in a different order, which might make this fix a little easier for you than it was for me.
