How to Follow and Be Followed at Google Maps
I guess this is a step towards using Google Maps as a Social Network. If you are a Google Maps Local Guide or someone who adds photos and reviews then you are actually a Local Guide and didn't know it!
Anyway, with very recent Maps updates, it's now possible to Follow other Maps Contributors (Local Guides) and receive updates in the Maps App as they upload new photos, videos and reviews.
In this video we have a look how it's done while seeing how we can Unlock a Restricted Profile along the way (Maps Settings, Personal Content and switch off Restricted). Of course if you want to keep restricted turned on, then that's fine too - just the read the screens and decide for yourself.
