TRUE STORY: When my oldest son was first born being a dad didn't feel good. It felt like hard work, him crying all the time, diapers, keeping us up all night, no affection with his mom, it just felt like hard work and I didn't want to do it, I wasn't ready to be a dad. At that time I wanted to do shit that felt good to ME. I was in college, I drank a lot, cheated, lied, got into stupid fights, was into a little bit of drugs and selling em. I was basically living for myself, and because of that my woman was falling out of love with me, she was going to leave me. I wasn't ready to be a dad but life put me in a situation where I had to either change or I was going to lose everything. I REALLY (like really really lol) didn't want to quit the way I was living, but slowly I pushed through the pain and made changes, about 5 years sobriety now. That's the only thing that saved my family, and its the only reason I have 2 little princes. Its funny how once you find the strength to stop living for yourself you find meaning in your own life by living for others. I still aint perfect, and I never will be, but Im happy I made those changes for my little princes and I'm content knowing I never give up trying to improve. I didn't know it then, but making the choice to stop living for myself is really the thing that saved me. #love #littleprince #littleprincess
