Will Star San clean copper?
Star San is a great product for sanitizing your equipment, but did you know it will also clean copper. In this video, I show how Star San is better for cleaning a copper still than the 551 solution.
The main reasons for my opinion is:
1. Star San is a no rinse product. Scrub it on and wife it off. Done!
2. Mix one oz. Star San to 5 gallons water. This is easier than 500 ml water, 50 ml hydrogen peroxide, and 1 oz citric acid.
3. it's way cheaper. It's 8 times cheaper than mixing 551.
